As an associate attorney for Atkinson, Andelson, Loya, Ruud and Romo, Carolyn advised school districts, county offices of education and institutions of higher education on matters including first and fourth amendment rights of students and teachers; transgender accommodation laws; charter petitions; grievances; unfair labor practice charges; uniform complaints; conflicts of interest; wage garnishment; the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act; the Brown Act; public contracts and procurement.
During law school, Carolyn served as an extern for the Honorable John A. Mendez, U.S. District Court, Eastern District of California. She also served as a Legislative and Comment Staff Writer for the McGeorge Law Review.
Carolyn is admitted to practice law in California and before the United States District Court for the Eastern, Northern and Southern Districts of California. She holds a Certificate from the Training Institute for Workplace Investigators.
Carolyn graduated from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, and received her undergraduate degree from the University of San Diego.
