During law school, Maureen was involved in the community as a volunteer for the Legal Services of Northern California’s landlord-tenant clinic. And, she organized community and campus events as the president of the student group, Students United for Reform and Justice. She was actively engaged on campus as a Senior Article Editor for the Journal of Juvenile Law and Policy, a Research Assistant for Professor Lisa Pruitt, and a tutor for first year law students through the Academic Success Program. In her final year of law school, she undertook an independent writing project supervised by Professor Aaron Tang in which she examined the evolution of sexual harassment in the workplace, the problems it causes, and employer responses.
