Katie Ebert

Katie is a Senior Attorney Investigator with Van Dermyden Makus Law Corporation. Her practice focuses on conducting workplace and Title IX campus investigations.
Before joining Van Dermyden Makus Law Corporation, Katie was a civil litigator at a firm that specializes in education law. She represented and advised public schools in a variety of cases including writs of mandate, employment, personal injury, and breach of contract actions. Prior to focusing on litigation, she advised public schools on special education and student discipline issues. As a result of this background, Katie is experienced in conducting interviews and fact-finding investigations.
Katie graduated in the top twenty percent of her class from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles. During law school, she was a Note and Comment Editor for the Loyola of Los Angeles International and Comparative Law Review and a Law Clerk in the Education Advocacy Program with the Disability Rights Legal Center. Prior to law school, Katie graduated from U.C. Santa Barbara with honors.
