Christina J. Petricca, AWI-CH, is an Associate Attorney and Adjudicator with Van Dermyden Makus Law Corporation.
Before joining Van Dermyden Makus Law Corporation, Christina worked for five years as a Title IX Coordinator and one year as an Americans with Disabilities Act Coordinator for a university in the Bay Area. Christina has experience overseeing Title IX sexual misconduct investigations and hearings and is well-versed in Title IX and Americans with Disabilities Act requirements.
Prior to working as a Title IX Coordinator, Christina represented public safety employees throughout California in disciplinary investigations, due process “Skelly” hearings, and arbitrations. She also represented peace officers in critical incidents such as officer-involved shootings and deaths in custody.
During this time, Christina also represented public safety labor unions in grievance proceedings and hearings before the Public Employment Relations Board.
Christina is licensed to practice law in California. She received her Juris Doctorate from University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law. While attending law school she worked as an intern for the California Department of Human Resources and the California Public Employees’ Retirement System. She graduated, cum laude, from California State University, Sacramento with a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and a minor in Criminal Justice.
