Jasmin Darron
Attorney Investigator
Jasmin is an Attorney Investigator for Van Dermyden Makus Law Corporation.
At Van Dermyden Makus Law Corporation, Jasmin dedicates her practice to conducting independent investigations for public and private workplaces, K-12 schools, and college campuses. Jasmin is passionate about Title IX issues because she understands that education opens doors to employment opportunities. She has also received training to perform trauma-informed interviews. Jasmin knows investigations can be intimidating for the individuals involved. As such Jasmin is extremely effective at connecting with witnesses.
Jasmin has a unique legal background that strengthens her abilities as an impartial investigator. For nearly two years, she clerked at a law firm representing employees in class action wage-and-hour cases. As an attorney, she represented public sector employers, including school districts. These disputes involved employee discipline, collective bargaining, and matters for the Public Employment Relations Board. Additionally, Jasmin worked for a well-known employment practices liability insurance (“EPLI”) carrier. During her time there, she managed several high-profile coverage issues regarding allegations of employment discrimination, race- and sex-based harassment, whistleblower retaliation, and other EEO-related violations. Through these experiences, Jasmin discovered her passion for being a neutral fact finder.
After obtaining her law degree from USC Gould School of Law, Jasmin completed a fellowship program with the Los Angeles Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates. During this period, she shadowed distinguished plaintiffs trial attorneys, defense counsel, and the Honorable Rafael A. Ongkeko of the Los Angeles Superior Court.
When she's not conducting investigations, Jasmin enjoys rooting for the UCLA Bruins, spending time with her family, taking Peloton classes, and watching “The Real Housewives” franchise.
