Jesse Collmann
Attorney Investigator, AWI-CH
Jesse is an Attorney Investigator for Van Dermyden Makus Law Corporation.
Before joining the Van Dermyden Makus team, Jesse worked at an employment litigation firm for seven years—on the plaintiff’s side. He prosecuted cases involving sexual harassment, discrimination, FEHA claims, whistle-blower retaliation, unequal pay, failure to accommodate, and wage and hour violations. Accordingly, Jesse brings a unique perspective and is aware of the potential avenues of liability that employers face.
Jesse earned his J.D. from California Western School of Law, where he graduated magna cum laude. While in law school, Jesse worked as an Editor for Law Review. He also served as judicial extern for the Honorable Ruben B. Brooks of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California, and he was inducted into the Public Service Honors Society.
After growing up in rural Pennsylvania, Jesse split his time in undergrad at New York University’s Stern School of Business and Emory University’s Goizueta Business School, earning a BBA, with a double-major in Finance and Marketing. He also spent a semester abroad in Viña del Mar, Chile.
In his free time, Jesse enjoys working on his car, hacking it up on the golf course, playing and watching soccer, and doing crosswords puzzles.
