Matthew is an Associate Attorney with Van Dermyden Maddux Law Corporation. His practice focuses on conducting workplace and Title IX campus investigations.

Matthew primarily investigates claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, Title IX violations, and other allegations of misconduct. His prior legal experience includes working as a criminal prosecutor and a civil litigator. As a result of those roles, Matthew is experienced in conducting sensitive and complex interviews, as well as carrying out fact-finding investigations in a plethora of criminal and civil contexts. Before joining Van Dermyden Maddux Law Corporation, Matthew practiced at a firm where he was responsible for managing a large, diverse civil litigation caseload that included employment-related matters, personal injury, construction, and public entity law.

Matthew is licensed to practice law in California. He earned his Juris Doctor at Santa Clara University School of Law, where he finished in the top 15% of his class. He graduated Phi Beta Kappa from San Diego State University, with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Minors in Philosophy and English.
