San Diego, CA—In honor of National Foster Care Month, Just in Time for Foster Youth is thrilled to announce a significant investment from Van Dermyden Makus Law Corporation to further their mission of supporting transition-age foster youth in achieving self-sufficiency and well-being. Van Dermyden Makus Law Corporation’s $30,000 donation will provide essential resources, professional development, higher education and mental wellness assistance to the youth Just in Time serves.

This contribution represents a three-year commitment, with Van Dermyden Makus Law Corporation pledging $10,000 annually. Additionally, the firm demonstrated its support by hosting two tables at Just in Time’s Empower Party on May 15th at Parc Bistro-Brasserie.

"We have a responsibility to uplift those who may not have had the same opportunities as us,” said Sue Ann Van Dermyden, Shareholder at Van Dermyden Makus Law Corporation.

“My journey, from an orphanage to a loving family, instilled in me a deep empathy for those navigating life's challenges alone. This, coupled with our legal work – helping solve workplace problems – makes us committed to helping those joining adulthood. Partnering with Just in Time is a natural extension of Van Dermyden Makus Investigative Law Firm’s commitment to making a difference, ensuring that every young person has the resources and support they need to thrive."

The investment by Van Dermyden Makus Law Corporation will significantly impact Just in Time’s efforts to build a supportive community that empowers foster youth to become confident, connected and capable adults. This funding will positively impact the nearly 3,000 former foster youths that Just in Time serves each year, ensuring that every young person leaving the foster care system has a network of caring adults and opportunities comparable to their peers as they transition into adulthood.
