Liz DeChellis Conducts Complimentary Title IX Working Group Webinar

VM's Liz DeChellis, Michelle Galloway, and Chelsea Alix Tibbs will be conducting the complimentary webinar, “Navigating Neurodivergence in K-12 Investigations: Tips and tools for managing Title IX matters involving neurodiversity” on January 15th at 12:30 PM.

More About the Webinar:
Because 90% of disabilities are invisible, it is critical that Title IX practitioners understand and recognize how neurological differences impact our work. This webinar will focus on K-12 Title IX matters, exploring how to successfully conduct investigations involving neurodivergent interviewees, including parties. We will review how to recognize and accommodate neurodivergence, how to counteract our biases and be cognizant of witness biases, and discuss strategies to ensure fair and balanced investigations. Additionally, we will discuss the importance of maintaining confidentiality of medical diagnoses and how to avoid making someone’s diagnosis the focus of the investigation.
