Sacramento Kings Hire Van Dermyden Maddux to Conduct Independent Investigation
Sacramento, CA – Today, the Sacramento Kings released the following statement:
“We take these allegations very seriously. We first learned about them from media reports on Monday evening.
The Sacramento Kings have hired Sue Ann Van Dermyden and Jennifer A. Doughty to lead an independent investigation into the allegations in the lawsuit filed on Monday by Kelli Tennant.
Van Dermyden, founding partner of investigative law firm Van Dermyden Maddux located in Sacramento, is an expert on employment law with decades of experience in conducting investigations. Doughty, a veteran investigator, serves as a senior associate attorney at Van Dermyden Maddux.
“We also continue to work with the NBA and will have no further comment as the investigation is ongoing.”
