Stephanie Slone

Stephanie Slone, is an Attorney Adjudicator with Van Dermyden Makus Law Corporation. Her practice focuses on conducting Title IX campus hearings and investigations.
Stephanie’s wealth of experience as a Hearing Officer and in the Courtroom, has provided her with the tools necessary to elicit relevant testimony, hold compassionate hearings, and confidently render recommendations. Stephanie understands the impacts of trauma in legal proceedings and has the experience and training necessary to work through the complexities of Title IX hearings.
Prior to joining Van Dermyden Makus, Stephanie served as a Senior Assistant Attorney General for the Ohio Office of Attorney General in the Executive Agencies Section. In this role, Stephanie represented State Boards and Commissions as litigation counsel.
Stephanie also has significant experience as an Attorney Hearing Officer and Litigation Attorney with the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services. During her time with Job and Family services, she represented the State of Ohio in establishing, modifying, and enforcing child support orders.
Stephanie has also been an Adjunct Law Professor at the University of Dayton School of Law for the last 10 years. She teaches a Family Law Capstone to third year law students.
As a law student at Michigan State University College of Law, Stephanie clerked with Michigan Legal Aid and Defender and the State of Michigan Office of Attorney General.
